The set Pitch Black, including Mega Darkrai ex, is now officially revealed! As previously announced, this set appears on 17 july 2026 and is it the fifth English-language set within Mega Evolution.
The prerelease events take place of 4 july to 12 july.

Within the Stockmonster community we see as more often a divided image. On the one hand, there are members who get excited about the new direction and are curious about how the set will develop. Especially the idea that something else is being tried, creates fresh energy within the hobby.
On the other hand there is also some restraint, especially when it comes to art style. Some collectors say that the style doesn't take them completely yet, or that it feels less consistent than previous releases. In this case, the size of the set does not seem to be a big stumbling block, but is included in how people estimate the collectability.
What is striking is that there is a lot of curiosity about the SIRS. That's where a lot of people find the real tension. If these artworks are strong, it can lift the whole set to a higher level. As always within the community, the approach remains quite sober: not blindly hype, but look critically and collect what you like.
