Ordering Pokemon center in the Netherlands so it should. Guide 2026

For many collectors, ordering Pokemon center in the Netherlands is one of the most interesting places to get Pokémon products. Not only because of merchandise and accessories, but of course mainly because of exclusive products such as Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes.

Only as a Dutchman you run into one problem quite quickly: Pokémon Center does not send directly to the Netherlands.

Yet this does not mean that ordering is impossible. When you have access to an address in the country of the Pokémon Center webshop where you order, you can still try placing an order. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

Something important has changed these days. Where parcel forwarding services have been widely used for many years, Pokémon Center controls orders increasingly closely and orders to known forwarding addresses are regularly cancelled.

The best chance of success is therefore today with a private address in the country where you order.

But before you enthusiastically place an order: In the case of orders from the United Kingdom or the United States, the additional costs can increase considerably.

In short:
Tips for successful ordering at Pokémon Center

  1. Be pre-logged in
Log in to Pokémon Center before the queue starts. Just don't leave the website open continuously before the queue goes live, because it may happen that you won't get to see the queue properly.
  2. Check your shipping and billing address in advance
Make sure your foreign shipping address in UK, USA, Canada, Germany or Australia is fully correct. Pokémon Center checks addresses automatically. If the address is accepted, it will save you unnecessary extra actions during a busy drop.

Your billing address must match the data that goes with your credit card. Your shipping address is the foreign address to which Pokémon Center sends the order.

  1. Preferably use a credit card for pre-orders
Pre-orders usually require a credit card. With restocks, PayPal can often also be an option. Within the community there have been frequent reports of problems with Revolut, so a physical credit card can be more reliable.
  2. Pre-order any test
You want to make sure everything's okay? Then order a cheap product in advance, for example a small plush. So you know if your address, payment and account work correctly before an important drop comes.
  3. Preferably do not use a reshipper
The most reliable option remains a real private address of family, friends or acquaintances in the country where you order.

Some shippers can work, especially with restocks, but in pre-orders we see much more cancellations. Large services such as Forward2Me and MyUS are used by many people. The problem is that Pokémon Center can see such a warehouse as a single physical address, allowing multiple orders to the same address to reach limits or cancellations faster.

So use a reshipper only if you accept the risk.

  1. Multiple devices can be useful
Using a laptop and phone at the same time can be useful if one device loses connection or is thrown out of the queue. For example, you can use your phone on 5G and your laptop via Wi-Fi or cable.

Don't go into this extreme. Quiet and normal use remains the most important.

  1. Refresh not constantly before queue starts
Don't go for minutes on the Pokémon Center website refresh before the queue is live. Too many requests can cause you to get an error message like Error 15 or be temporarily blocked.
  2. Take your time for the captcha
Do not click a captcha in a hurry. Taking a few seconds extra is better than starting over because the system sees your behavior as automated.

Do you get an error message while you're sure you filled out the captcha correctly? Then it might help to calm down a little next time.

  1. Are you early by the queue? Wait until the products are live
Sometimes you already get through the queue while the new products are not yet loaded into Pokémon Center.

Then stay calm on the website. Check a different page every 20 to 30 seconds and then return to the homepage to see if the products are visible.

Do not navigate extremely quickly through the website. That, too, can make the system consider your behavior suspicious.

Finally, on reshippers

Some shippers seem to still work with ordinary restocks, while pre-orders are more frequently cancelled. There are different experiences within the community, so never consider it a guarantee.

A real private address in the country where you order remains by far the safest option.

You're using a reshipper, right? Try at your own risk.

Can Pokémon Center send directly to the Netherlands?

No. Pokémon Center has several regional webshops, but these do not just deliver worldwide.

Pokémon Center sends Germany only to German addresses. Pokémon Center UK only delivers within the UK and the US webshop only transmits within the United States and some US territories. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

Filling in a Dutch address directly at the checkout will therefore not work.

You will therefore have to use an address in the country in which you order.

Preferably use a private address

Do you have family, friends or other acquaintances living in Germany, the United Kingdom or America? Then that's the best option these days.

For example, if you order from Pokémon Center UK, you will have the order delivered to the private address of someone in the UK. That person can then forward the package to the Netherlands. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

The same principle applies to Germany or the United States.

In short:

Pokémon Center → Private address in the respective country → Your address in the Netherlands

This now gives the greatest chance that an order is actually accepted and shipped.

Can I still use a forwarder?

That is possible, but bear in mind that this is a lot less reliable nowadays.

A parcel forwarding service, also called forwarder, gives you a personal delivery address in another country.

Suppose you want to buy something at Pokémon Center Germany. You then create an account with a shipping service that gives you a German address. You then use that address at Pokémon Center.

Pokémon Center will send your order to the forwarder's warehouse and the forwarder will then forward the package to the Netherlands.

So in theory it looks like this:

Pokémon Center → forwarder → your address in the Netherlands

The problem is that Pokémon Center seems to recognize known forwarding addresses more and more nowadays. Within the community we regularly see orders that are cancelled after placing.

An order confirmation does not automatically mean that your order will actually be shipped. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

Pokémon Center now advises itself on certain releases not to use a forwarding address and to use a reliable address in the respective country.

Do you have access to a normal addressthat is why it is absolutely preferable.

If you don't have that option, you can try a forwarder, but do this with the realization that your order can be cancelled.

Especially with popular pre-orders, that can be extra acid, as the product may already be sold out by the time your cancellation arrives.

Pokémon Center Germany: The easiest route?

For Dutch collectors, Germany is the most logical option on paper.

Since the arrival of Pokémon Center Germany, products do not need to be imported from the United Kingdom or America to the Netherlands.

Pokémon Center Germany delivers only within Germany, but when you can use a private address, the package can then be sent to the Netherlands from Germany. NOTE: PC GERMANY does only German TCG so far

Because Germany is part of the EU, you do not get the same import procedure when a package comes from the United Kingdom or America. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

There is an important comment for TCG collectors.

Pay close attention to the language of the product.

Pokémon Center Germany, for example, sells Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes where the maps and content can be German speaking. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

If you specifically want an English Pokémon Center ETB for your sealed collection, always check this before ordering.

For accessories, plushies, binders, playmats and other non-language products, Germany can be particularly interesting.

English Pokémon Center ETB order

For many collectors this will eventually be the main reason to use Pokémon Center.

The known Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes differences from normal ETBs. They usually contain additional content and Pokémon Center-exclusive versions of certain promotional products. As a result, they are also popular with sealed collectors. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

If you want an English version, you usually come from Pokémon Center UK or Pokémon Center US.

If you have someone you trust with a private address in the United Kingdom or America, that's the best way these days.

You have Pokémon Center deliver the product there and then send the package to the Netherlands. More about this later.

A forwarder may remain an alternative, but does not guarantee that your order will be accepted.

How do you order step by step?

The process is actually quite simple.

First select which Pokémon Center region to order from.

For German products you can use Pokémon Center Germany. For English TCG products, UK or US are usually more interesting. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

Then arrange a delivery address in the country concerned.

You prefer to use a private address of family, friends or someone you know.

If you don't, you can try a forwarder, but take into account the risk of cancellation. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

Enter this address at Pokémon Center as shipping address.

Then find the desired product, add it to your shopping cart and pay off. Do a test product before trying to order a TCG product, for example a funko doll or playmat.

Pokémon Center accepts different payment methods depending on the region, such as Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Apple Pay.

When checking out it is wise to use your real invoice details when requested. The billing address must correspond to the information known to your bank or credit card company.

After shipping the package arrives at the foreign address and can be sent to the Netherlands from there.

How much does forwarding to the Netherlands cost?

This is very different.

The weight and size of your package play along, but also the chosen carrier, insurance and how quickly you want to receive the package. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

On the basis of experience within our own StockMonster community can be shared as gross practical indication think of:

  • about €35 to €50 for a package from the UK
  • about €60 to €90 for a package from the United States

Don't think of this as a fixed price list.

A small box can be cheaper and a large order with several ETBs can become a lot more expensive.

Therefore, check before your order what the shipment to the Netherlands will cost.

And then, unfortunately, we're not there yet.

VAT when ordering outside the EU

When you import from the United Kingdom or the United States, you will in principle face Dutch import VAT. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

For Pokémon cards this is normally 21% vat.

That 21% is not only calculated about the price of your cards.

VAT shall be charged officially on, inter alia:

purchase price + shipping costs + possible insurance + import duties

So that can tick faster than you initially expect.

An order of €250 does not automatically mean that you simply pay €52.50 VAT. The dispatch and import duties may further increase the base.

The customs authorities shall use the information on the invoice and the customs form to determine the value of a consignment.

So just let it fill in the correct value.

A consciously low value may cause problems when Customs requests a proof of purchase or additional information.

Import duties on small consignments since 1 July 2026

Something important has changed here recently.

Until 30 June 2026 there was an exemption from import duties for many e-commerce shipments up to €150.

Since 1 July 2026 that rule has changed.

E-commerce shipments from outside the EU with a value up to €150 are currently subject to an amount of import duties per product category / type of product.

So if you order a small package from America or the United Kingdom, a value below €150 no longer automatically means that you do not pay import duties. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

And on orders above €150?

In the case of consignments above €150, the normal customs tariff corresponding to the product concerned shall be considered. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

Pokémon cards are usually subject to the goods code:

9504 40 00 00 hindered cards

The standard rate of import duty is usually about 2,7%.

The actual rate may depend, inter alia, on the type of product, value and country of origin. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

For larger or expensive imports it is therefore always wise to check the current layout.

The parcel service also charges

In addition, the carrier can charge handling costs for clearing your package.

For example, PostNL currently applies:

Package up to €150: €10 handling costs

Package from €150: €16 handling costs

Other carriers such as DHL, FedEx, UPS or DPD can use their own rates.

These costs are usually paid to the parcel service that ultimately delivers the package.

Often you will receive an email, text, letter or notification in the track & trace with a payment link after customs clearance. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

Example: an order of €250

Let's take a fairly recognizable example.

You order for €250 to Pokémon cards and pays €35 for shipping to the Netherlands.

For this example we assume that the cards are classified as playing cards and that the rate of 2.7% applies.

Products: €250 Pokemon center order in Netherlands
Shipment: €35

Together: €285

The import duties of 2,7% will then be around:

€7,70

The VAT will then be charged on €285 plus those import duties.

€285 + €7,70 = €292,70

21% vat on €292,70:

€61,47

In this example, the PostNL handling costs for a shipment above €150 are added:

€16

Your extra costs will be about:

€7,70 import duties
vat €61,47
€16 handling costs

Total: €85,17 extra

And don't forget: The €35 shipment was already before that.

In this example, your order of €250 will cost you about:

€370,17 including shipping and import costs.

That is exactly why we recommend that you always calculate your real total price before ordering.

Can't whoever sends it just put Gift on it

We also see this regularly, but it does not work that way.

Only real gifts from private to private, for which you have paid nothing, can be covered by the gift exemption. The value may not exceed €45.

A Pokémon Center order is not suddenly a gift because someone puts the word "Gift" on the customs form. Pokemon center order in Netherlands

You bought the product. So it's still a commercial purchase.

This also applies when the product is first delivered to a friend, family member or forwarder and then sent to the Netherlands.

So just let it fill in the correct value. Do you want to know how to pack the best products? Read this article

Why didn't I have to pay anything last time?

That could have several reasons.

Sometimes VAT or any other charge has already been processed during payment. In other situations, the costs are only collected through the carrier.

The fact that you did not receive a separate payment request with a previous order does not automatically mean that there was no VAT or import charge.

The Pokémon Center queue

With popular releases, Pokémon Center can create a Virtual Queue enable.

You then arrive in a digital queue before entering the webshop.

Pokémon Center advises to leave the page open and not constantly refresh. Opening multiple tabs or trying to bypass the queue does not help and can cause technical problems.

Important to know: a place in the queue doesn't mean a product is reserved for you.

So you can come through the queue neatly and still discover that the product is sold out.

Don't miss the Pokémon Center queue

Especially with big TCG releases it can go fast.

This is what the Queue of Pokemon center looks like.

In the StockMonster Discord you get a heads-up when we expect the Pokémon Center queue to arrive.

Once the queue has actually started, you will also receive a notification so that you can connect as soon as possible.

That can be quite important with popular releases. By the time you happen to yourself Pokémon Center opens, a wanted product can already be sold out long ago.

An order confirmation is not yet a guarantee

This is especially important when you decide to use a forwarder.

The fact that Pokémon Center accepts your payment and you receive an order confirmation does not automatically mean that the order is final.

Pokémon Center can still check and cancel an order later.

We see this more often nowadays with addresses linked to commercial forwarding services.

So don't go cheering with a forwarder immediately as soon as the confirmation email arrives.

It is only when your order has actually been processed and shipped that you know that it has succeeded.

One therefore, private address in the country in question remains the best option when you have that opportunity.

Be careful before ordering

Check your order before you finally pay.

A normal Pokémon Center order cannot be cancelled or modified after it has been placed.

The delivery address cannot simply be changed after placing an order.

For pre-orders, other rules may apply and cancel may still be possible until the order is processed.

So check above all:

your foreign delivery address, any personal customer or suite numbers and your payment details.

A wrong address is already annoying at a Dutch web shop.

When your order first goes to America or the United Kingdom, it soon becomes a very different story.

Is Pokémon Center worth ordering from the Netherlands?

Sometimes absolutely.

For an exclusive Pokémon Center ETB, special merchandise or something you really want to have for your personal collection can order via abroad be a great solution.

But never look only at the price at Pokémon Center.

A product of €250 can go to €370 after shipping, VAT, import duties and handling costs.

In addition, ordering via a commercial forwarder is no longer as obvious as a few years ago.

Do you have access to a reliable private address in Germany, the United Kingdom or Americathen it's clearly preferable.

Germany can also be interesting when the product you are looking for is available there, because sending from Germany to the Netherlands remains within the EU.

UK and America are mainly:

first calculate what the product actually costs when it is at your home.

Then you can compare fairly with Cardmarket, a Dutch web shop or someone who has already imported the product.

Sometimes Pokémon Center turns out to be the best option.

And sometimes that expensive Dutch salesman is a lot less expensive than you thought.

Especially at Pokémon Center therefore the same rule applies to so many things within the hobby:

Buy because you want the product, not just because it has Pokémon Center on it.
